About Camp Stitchalot
Remember Camp when you were younger? This is like that but with sewing... And hot water... And better food... And no bugs!
Camp Stitchalot is a sewing retreat that takes place year round in beautiful Pleasant Lake, Michigan! You arrive on a Friday, depart the following Sunday, and in between your every sewing need is catered to. Accommodations, including lodging, meals, and transportation are taken care of so you focus on fun, friends, and fabric. Camp Counselors offer workshops throughout the weekend for special projects like the Camp Stitchalot Bag, and there's more than enough space to spread out and do your own thing. It's your weekend, free of distraction and overflowing with fun.
"Camp Stitchalot is an amazing experience that you can't describe. I made friends that will stay with me for life as well as learning skills I never thought I'd master (make a dress? Yep. Nailed it). I can say, hand on heart, it's awesome." - Katy Jones, author of 25 Patchwork Quilt Blocks, editor of Quilt Now magazine, Art Gallery Fabrics designer
Camp Stitchalot takes place at The Hankerd Inn in Pleasant Lake, Michigan and is hosted by Pink Castle Fabrics. It always runs Friday through Saturday, with the option to add-on Thursday for even more sewing and fun! You share rooms with another camper, just like real camp, and the cost is either $475 or $525, depending on whether you prefer to share a queen bed or have a twin bed to yourself. In addition to lodging, your ticket also covers all meals and access to our camp workshops. Adding on Thursday is an extra $100 and includes a whole extra day of accommodations and open sewing! If you cannot attend camp after purchasing a ticket, you can transfer that ticket to someone else but tickets are nonrefundable.
If you need a sewing machine, we offer $30 rentals for the whole weekend. Our rental machines will be Janome brand sewing machines, though model may very from camp to camp.
If you have special dietary needs, food allergies, or require some unique accommodation, email us at email@example.com. We'll do every thing we can to make this the best, most relaxing weekend you'll have all year (or at least until your next Camp Stitchalot).
We do not currently have any Camp Stitchalot events on our books. Be sure to follow our Facebook page for updates on coming events!

Getting To Camp
Although we can't make travel arrangements for you, we're happy to help in whatever way we can!
If you're coming from far away, you'll want to fly into Detroit Metro Airport. It's quite a drive from the airport to the Inn (a little more than an hour), but there are a few options available to you. The most popular is car rental, which can be accomplished at the airport itself. Many of our guests enjoy the freedom a vehicle offers, and often times campers can arrange to carpool together to offset expenses. If you prefer someone else to drive, for a slight additional charge we are offering pick-up service from noon until 4pm Thursday and Friday, with a stopover at Pink Castle! If you'd like to take advantage of this service, or have any questions at all, just email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some of our guests arrive by megabus. As with the airport, we're happy to pick-up you up from the bus stop! Email admin@pinkcastlefabrics to make arrangements.
If you're coming from near, or just really enjoy driving, we envy you, as you'll be enjoying large swaths of beautiful Michigan countryside! If you need help with directions of maps to either Hankerd Inn or Pink Castle Fabrics, contact us at email@example.com and we'll do everything we can to help.
"I was completely amazed at how much sewing 30 people produced in three days! The thing that really made this weekend so amazing and fun was hanging out with so many different, fantastic people: women of all ages, sewing abilities, and interests. We had so much fun together. And while the sewing is great, the experience of making new friends, talking, and laughing together is even more fantastic." - Rae Hoekstra, fabric designer, pattern designer, and dress-maker extraordinaire
We're proud of Camp Stitchalot and we could probably list a million reasons why, but these photos say it more clearly than we ever could. More than anything else, Camp Stitchalot is about friendship and we think that's evident in the smiling faces of our campers.
"Camp Stitchalot is unlike any other event I've ever attended. It's one big crafty sleepover! From it's countryside location, to the sewing space and hot meals, it's a real treat! I've not only had lots of fun at camp, but I even manage to actually get sewing done! It's a blast every time!" - Jeni Baker, Designer and Bunny Enthusiast
